Founding

The Republic of Elkland was founded on March 10, 2025, when Corbin Lubanovic decided to pursue his dream of establishing a nation. With help from close friends, the nation was born and began to grow quickly. Military organization and citizen recruitment were top priorities, resulting in a growth of 6–9 citizens within days. They quickly began to obtain more equipment for the military and that resulted in their military growing in strength.

Online Growth

To boost Elkland’s profile, the leader launched two YouTube channels and created an official website. Although growth was initially slow, by late March 2025, the channels attracted a surge of attention. As a result, Elkland’s population and influence expanded significantly.

Political Reforms

After trying to spread diplomacy, they realized that Fascism wasn't popular in the micronational community. They decided to change their governmental system and become fully democratic (besides from how long the ruler leads and how the ruler works).

Podland-Objectland Crisis

As Elkland began to further diplomacy, they noticed posts on Objectland's channel. They were going on a back-and-forth argument with Podland and it quickly began to escalate. Podland eventually threatened a war with Objectland. Elkland quickly went to discord and talked with other nations on a possible solution. The Empire of Abenia proposed a solution of just ignoring the problem. Elkland agreed as one on condition. If the hostilities continued, they would try to intervene. The crisis is ongoing as of May 29, 2025.

Future Outlook

Looking ahead, Elkland plans to expand both its land presence and its online community while fostering stronger diplomatic ties with other micronations.
